When selecting luggage products, one thing to pay attention to is the style of the luggage. When the style meets our requirements, our most important thing is the material and fabric of the luggage. So, what are the common fabrics of luggage products? After reading, you will have a general understanding. Hebei Yitian Luggage Factory, specializing in luggage production for more than 20 years, is a large luggage production enterprise in North China. The company has two factories in Hengshui and Baigou, Baoding, Hebei. We welcome customers to come and discuss cooperation and purchase luggage products.
The description of the fabric is generally not very detailed, only stating whether it is CORDURA or HD. It only refers to a textile method. If the description is more detailed, it should be material+fiber degree+textile method. For example: N 1000D CORDURA, which means it is made of 1000D nylon CORDURA material.
Many people believe that "D" in backpack materials represents density or weight. This is all wrong. D is the abbreviation for denier. And denier is the unit of measurement for fibers. The calculation method is: 1 gram per 9000 meters of line weight is called Denier. So, the smaller the number before D, the thinner its line and the lower its density. For example, the 210D material has a particularly fine texture and is usually used as the inner layer or compartment of a bag. Materials with a grain size of 900D or 1000D have coarse texture and thread, making them very wear-resistant and generally used as a bottom cover.
First of all, let's talk about materials. Generally, the raw materials used for bags are Nylon and Poly, and occasionally they are mixed together. Nylon is nylon and Poly is polyethylene, both of which are extracted from petroleum. Nylon is of better quality than Poly, but of course, it is a bit more expensive. In terms of fabric, Nylon has a softer feel.
Here is a brief introduction to some commonly used fabrics in backpacks:
1. CORDURA fabric has the functions of lightweight, quick drying, softness, and strong durability, and is not easily discolored even after long-term use. It is said that this type of fabric will appear in two colors from different angles. Usually woven with Nylon, with denier as the strength standard, there are 160D, 210D, 330D, 420D, 600D, 900D, 1000D, etc. The higher the number, the stronger the texture. Generally, 160D to 210D are used on clothes or as an inner lining for general outdoor bags. This material has a coating on the back, and normal moderate rain will not wet the material through.
2. KODRA is a fabric produced in South Korea. To a certain extent, it can replace CORDURA. It is said that the inventor of this fabric originally intended to study how CORDURA was spun, but ultimately did not come up with a new fabric, which is KODRA. This fabric is usually woven with Nylon and is also based on fiber strength standards, such as 600D and 1000D. The reverse side has a coating, similar to CORDURA.
3. OXFORD Oxford spun warp is woven from two strands of thread, while weft
